I was born and raised in Urana, a country town in New South Wales, Australia. Frederick Fox who was Queen Elizabeth’s milliner, also came from Urana. Frederick designed hats for Princess Diana, Joan Collins and Hilary Clinton.
My Mother Lily taught me to knit, sew and crochet from a young age. I would draft my own patterns out of newspaper and sew dresses, tops and various accessories. I named my company Lilypond Creations in honor of my Mother.
For many years I designed and made fashion garments and accessories for myself, family and friends. On on Mothers’ Day 2016 I had my first stall at Paddington Markets in Paddington,Sydney.
I have been working on my creations for the past few years perfecting designs and creating new collections. I often collaborate with my older sister affectionately called Doff, who studied at the "Whitehouse Institute of Design in Sydney".
I have 400 plus individual pieces and 23 collections to choose from. I am adding New Collections regularly. My Products are a celebration of individuality, colour and texture, enhancing appreciation of the beautiful qualities and properties of both new and vintage textiles. Individually crafted from trans-global and inter-generational textiles, both natural and man-made, no two creations are the same.
My goal is to have a minimal impact on our environment, create affordable designer fashion pieces that compliment you and your imagination.
My products are affordable because I do everything from design to finished product.
Each with its own personality, these designer accessories and garments, allow you to embrace your individuality and express your own style; whether you need something vibrant to brighten up an otherwise dull winter wardrobe or a versatile piece to take you from the office to evening.
Inspired by New York fashionista legend Iris Apfel and many of the "Advanced Style" models, I have embraced my innate creativity, with no rules and a sense of freedom.
